A brand new smartphone powered by Tizen software, the Samsung Z, is to be launched in Russia later this year.
An alternative to Android?
Samsung have been developing Tizen as an alternative to Android. If it’s successfully introduced, it could mean Samsung become less dependent on Google’s Android operating system.
Tizen could become the universal operating system for all Samsung devices which would give the company the opportunity to break away from some of its competitors whose devices also use Google’s Android.
Can you imagine such a software taking Android's place?
