Because we are so excited about the launch of our newest waterproof cases, the Evo Aqua and Evo Aqua 360 Edition for the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, we are holding a pop-up gallery of images to run from 14-16 December. The dynamic underwater images are shot by ocean photographer and social media influencer Mark Fitz (@_markfitz). The collection of images was captured by Fitz on and around the Great Barrier Reef and Mackay to demonstrate what’s possible with a smartphone and tech21’s new waterproof case, the Evo Aqua.
WHEN: Wednesday 14 December to Friday 16 December 2016, 9.00 am to 5.00 pm each day
WHERE: Ray Hughes Gallery, ground floor 270 Devonshire Street, Surry Hills, 2010
The gallery highlights the beautiful imagery found around water: Beaches, pools and under the sea are central highlights of Mark’s work. An interpretation of modern smartphone photography, the collection includes selfies with big ocean wrasse, family-time at the pool and beautiful coral reef beds teeming with life.
Fitz, an ocean photographer for years, worked with tech21 to capture the shots on an iPhone 7 Plus in an Evo Aqua 360 case, which provides superior waterproof and foolproof protection to keep your phone clean and dry while offering the same advanced impact protection, ingenious design and unbeatable user-friendliness for which tech21 is known.
Of creating the collection, Fitz said: “One location we shot at, Hardy Reef, is pretty spectacular and the resident wrasses aren't shy of being in front of the camera. I hope this collection helps spark people’s creativity and shows what’s possible with smartphone photography now, given the right tech and basic know-how.”
The Evo Aqua and Evo Aqua 360 cases are available from 10 December, online at tech21.com and in stores nationwide at JB Hi-Fi for RRP$100. The Evo Aqua is waterproof up to 2 metres for one hour, while the Evo Aqua 360 Edition offers one hour of waterproof protection up to 3 metres. Both products provide 2 metres drop protection.
