iPhone 6 vs iPhone 6 Plus

iPhone 6 vs iPhone 6 Plus

When Apple introduced their newest devices to the world, the most obvious difference between them was their size, but the 6 Plus is more than just a larger, more expensive version of its little sibling...

Screen Size

iPhone 6's display measures in at 4.7 inches in comparison to iPhone 6 Plus's 5.5 inches.

Screen Resolution

6 Plus has a highest resolution at 1920x1080 vs 6's 1334x750 with a notably higher pixel density of 401 ppi over iPhone 6's 326 ppi.

Landscape Mode

The 6 Plus boasts a brand new iPad flavoured landscape mode for some apps when placed horizontally; the iPhone 6 does not feature this benefit.

Both devices are supplied with an 8-megapixel lens, but the 6 Plus has one up with a special feature called Optical Image Stabilisation which helps out the shakey hand taking a photo or video.

Battery Life

6 Plus has a longer battery life, so you can enjoy its features for a few hours longer than iPhone 6...

Unsurprisingly, iPhone 6 weighs 4.55 ounces (129g) whilst its bigger version weighs in at 6.07 ounces (172g).

Both models will run on Apple's IOS 8 software.

Front Facing Camera

iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus both share a 1.2 mega pixel front facing camera.

The two devices will be available in Silver, Gold and Space Gray.

UK Retail Prices

iPhone 6 will retail at £539 for 16GB, £619 for 64GB, and £699 for 128GB. In comparison, iPhone 6 Plus starts at £619 for 16GB, £699 for 64GB and finally £789 for 128GB.
