Globe trotters share their stories part 2

Following the launch of our new waterproof case, the Evo Aqua, we have continued to ask travel bloggers about their  water damage experiences to their phones. This particular batch of bloggers aren't just travel enthusiast, but they are dedicated mothers that have made family travel their lifestyle.

These jet setters are constantly heading out to some pretty amazing locations, where having a smartphone can be risky. So here are their stories of unfortunate drops and what they look forward to capturing with the Evo Aqua for the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.

Have you damaged your phone due to liquid? Tell us your worst liquid damage story to your phone; water, juice, gunk, etc.

Yes! I’m constantly on the move, whether it is after my kids, trying to get them somewhere, trekking through the airport, or off on some adventure in another part of the world. Naturally I keep my phone in my back pocket for easy access so I can answer emails and text on the fly for work, so of course this is when disaster struck. One time I forgot to pull out my phone out of my back pocket in the restroom and stick it on the counter. It dropped into the toilet. You can imagine the gross horror I felt. Thankfully the toilet was clean, but my phone was drenched and never quite the same again.

If you had a waterproof case for your smartphone on your favorite vacation, how would you use it? Underwater selfies? Snow shots? We want to know!

My boys and I love to take underwater photos. The boys jump into the pool while I’m below the surface snapping away. We also love to hit the mountain to ski and snowboard. If I knew my phone wouldn’t get drenched, I’d have a whole lot more photos of us on the slopes.

Have you ever been unable to join in with friends? Have you missed that one great picture? All because your phone was holding you back…

We once went whale watching in Baja California and, although I managed to get some good shots of whales breaching, I didn't get as many as I wanted to. The reason being that there was a lot of spray and I was constantly worried that my phone and / or camera would get soaked.

Where would you go with an Aqua that you couldn’t now because you are scared to take your phone?

I have no underwater shots of my kids and I'd love to capture them in the pool and ocean, bubbles and all.

I dropped my phone in Guatemala while trying to get the perfect shot of my husband cliff diving into Lake Atitlan. It hit the rocks I was standing on then went into the lake! Luckily I had quick hands and was able to grab my phone before it sunk to the bottom - it was an incredible grab. I quickly turned it off and got the phone out of the case and hoped for the best. Luckily it was fine, but the camera was always a bit blurry and it was much slower from that point on.

How would a waterproof case for your smartphone make everyday life easier/worry-free? E.g. answer calls/texts in the shower, cook while FaceTiming your BFF, etc.?

Everyday I am juggling so many things and my hands are always full, so having a waterproof case would insure that my coffee, water or wine doesn't spill all over my phone! And dropping my phone into the toilet is a recurring nightmare!

Where would you go with an Aqua that you couldn’t now because you are scared to take your phone?

There have been so many times we have been out on a boat, snorkeling, stand up paddle boarding or kayaking when I wished I could have brought my camera out to take photos!

Have you missed that one great picture all because your phone was holding you back?

Yes, I missed getting photos of my daughter and I kayaking in the Caribbean. It was her first time, and she was so nervous. We also saw sea turtles that I did not get to take photos of. I will always cherish the memory in my mind, but wish I were able to take a few photos!
